The Effect of MOSFET Output Impedance on Linearity in the CMOS Gilbert Mixer

摘要: 深入研究了MOSFET输出阻抗对Gilbert混频器线性度的影响,建立了针对MOSFET输出阻抗的混频器非线性模型,得出了Gilbert混频器线性度最优偏置条件.基于0.25μm CMOS工艺的Gilbert混频器验证结果表明,预测得到的线性度最优理论偏置值与验证结果之间的误差小于10%.

Abstract: The nonlinearity behavior of the CMOS Gilbert mixer is investigated.The impact of MOSFET output impedance on distortion is studied in depth.The mixer nonlinear model and optimal drain-to-source voltage bias are presented in this paper.The rate of error between the analytical predictions and the Cadence SpectreRF circuit simulation results is less than 10%.
