Abstract: With a hydropower plant optimum output problem as an example, the output decision-making rules of a power station are obtained through knowledge discovery by introducing variable precision rough set. Compared with general optimized results determined only by water level and inflow of reservoir in current time, the proposed rule based on rough set contains both the current inflow information of reservoir and information of other period, with great flexibility and rationality.
