Abstract: In this paper, the thermal expansion behaviour of the TeO2 single crystal is studied experimentally by the push-rod dilatometery Tg-DTA and X-Ray diffraction methods. It is the first time to measure the thermal expension coefficient of the TeO2 single crystal along a and c axes in the temperature region of 370~500℃ by the push-rod dilatometer method.Furthermore, the anisotropy of the thermal expansion of the TeO2 single crystal is studied according to the structure and the characteristic of cleavage as well as the comparison of the chemical bonding strength of a and c axes.
