A Study on the Adaptive Filter for Channel Estimation in the Wideband CDMA System

Abstract

Abstract: Basing on the study of the mean square error (MSE) of channel estimation in the wideband CDMA system, we proposed a novel adaptive channel estimator by using the cross-correlation of channel estimate as its coefficients. The theoretical MSE performance of the proposed filter, Wiener filter and lowpass filter are also compared in this paper. Computer simulation results show that through adaptive algorithm, the proposed channel estimator can provides good performance over a wide Doppler frequency range supported by 3G, using only noise variance know-(ledge.)
