Study of a Novel Sensor System for Noninvasive Measurement of Blood Oxygen Saturation

Abstract: The principle and method of noninvasive measurement of blood oxygen saturation (SaO2) is presented in this paper which analyzes the characteristics of light transmitted through the fingertip.Based on this method,a novel sensor system for noninvasive measurement of blood oxygen saturation has been designed and fabricated.Clinical results show this system have good consistency with blood-gas analyzer and the coefficient of correlation comes to 0.984.
