Abstract: Using the theory of finite-time thermodynamics, the optimal temperature difference for heat-transfer of an endoreversible Carnot engine is analysed,and several plans for the choice of optimal temperature difference are discussed.Then, the effects of other irreversibilities, except thermal resistance, on the optimal temperature difference are analysed. Some more instructive new conclusions for the practical heat engine are obtained.
