Abstract: A wide-band CDMA receiver combined with adaptive antenna arrays and partial parallel interference cancellation (PPIC) is proposed. An novel pilot aided spatial-temporal receiver architecture for wide-band CDMA reverse links is proposed in the first stage to separate the signals in space. An improved parallel interference cancellation is employed for further reduction of residual multiple access interference (MAI) especially for in-beam MAI.Simulation results show that the performance of the receiver proposed is superior to the traditional adaptive antenna arrays or PPIC used alone in time variant Rayleigh fading channels.
