Accurate Measurement of the Coefficient of Thermal Deformation for Metal

Abstract: This paper analyzes the change of the forced deformation that occurs along with thermal expansion of material at rising temperature. The change of the forced deformation must be taken into account in the accurate measurement of thermal deformation of metal. The concepts of the thermal deformation coefficient and the relation between the coefficient of thermal deformation and that of thermal expansion are discussed.
