A Research on the Optimization Problem of Street Lighting

Abstract: The optimization problem of street lighting is studied. The characteristic of lighting in-tensity is analyzed. The area of space determined by a nonlinear equation can be obtained by the Monte Carlo method, The optimization problem of lighting with a single lamp and two lamps is solved by the golden section method and coordinate alternation method. The methods can be ap-piied to the optimization problem of lighting with many lamps.
