Abstract: We carry out research on how to promote the accuracy of direction-finding and ranging in the presence of multipath interference in a new integrated system of communication and radiolocation with space-time modulation. First, we analyze how this space-time signal is received and demodulated in a multipath environment. Second, multipath channel pulse response is estimated without taking channel noise into account, a kind of joint-estimation, which is combined with a simple new algorithm for extracting multipath components is realized. Finally, simulation results are given. The results of the simulation demonstrate that the accuracy of the location is improved after adopting the method.
