The Simulation of the Forming of Microsegregaiton During Solidification Process in the Calculation of Coupling Phase Diagrams

Abstract: Macro-and micro-models of microsegregation simulation are suggested and the primary numerical methods are discussed at the same time. As an example, microsegregation simulation of Al-4.5%Cu binary alloy in water-cooled Cu mould is also presented. The comparison of simulation results and experiments indicates that these two results were in complete agreement. This verifies the validity and the applicability of the models and the numerical methods.
