Abstract: A convolutional algorithm is used to simplify the evaluation of the spectrum of a random process of known power spectral density and amplitude modulated by a deterministic signal, especially, by a periodic signal. The spectra of the periodic burst QPSK baseband signal are evaluated as an example, and the results are compared with those of the traditional algorithm.
