Abstract: In this paper, we modify the Windkessel model for blood circulation, and attempt to derive a mathematical theory for the cardiovascular system. It is shown that pulse graph can be used to study the said system, and may serve as a scientific background for the pulse theory of the traditional Chinese medical science.
