摘要: 本文对平面波导与电磁场相互作用系统引进一个量子电动力学模型,应用线性响应理论讨论该系统对外来电磁扰动的响应,证明这种响应完全由相互作用系统的本征元激发——导波耦会场量子(Guided-Wave Polariton)——的物理性质所决定.本文的理论方法可用来讨论平面波导系统对电磁波的传输,透射,反射,散射,吸收以及外加电、声、磁扰动的传播等问题.

Abstract: A reasonable quantum electrodynamical model is introduced in the present article for the interacting system of a planar waveguide and the electromagnetic field. The response to external electromagnetic perturbations of this interacting system is discussed using the linear response theory, and is proved to be fully determined by the physical properties of the intrinsic elementary excitations guided-wave polaritons of the system. The theory is useful for discussions of propagation, transmission, reflection, scattering and absorption of electromagnetic waves as well as the propagation of external electric-, magnetic-or acoustic-perturbations in the planar waveguide.
