超晶格界面上的TM电磁表面波

摘要: 该文研究超晶格体中TM电磁表面波的传播特性.分析了超晶格体液晶层晶轴取向θ角对TM表面波传播的重要影响,导出了TM表面波色散关系,给出了其电场和磁场的分布曲线.理论揭示:超晶格中TM表面波存在的条件是:(1)θ=0或θ=π/2;(2)超晶格体覆盖层的复介电常数ε满足Re (ε)<0.

Abstract: The propagation characteristics of surface electromagnetic TM waves on the superlattice are presensed in this paper. The analysis shows that the orientation angle θ of the crystal axis of the liquid crystal in superlattice plays an important role in the wave propagation. The dispersion relation, the distributions of the electric and magnetic fields of the waves are given respectively. The necessary conditions for the surface wave existence are:(1) θ=0 or θ=π/2, (2) The real part of the complex dielectric constant of the cladding material has minus value.
