摘要: 在岩石强度条件分析中,必须使用有效应力.目前广泛应用的Terzaghi方程只适用于胶结程度较低的疏松点接触多孔介质;而对于胶结程度较高的致密岩石,应使用结构有效应力.用正应力进行岩石强度条件分析,结论过于安全;用Terzaghi有效应力进行分析,结论偏于破坏;用结构有效应力进行分析,结论正确而适中.

Abstract: Effective stresses should be used instead of normal-stresses in the analysis of rock strength. Terzaghi effective stress is the approximation of structural effective stress. Terzaghi equation is only applicable to porous media like soil. Tight media like rock must adopt the structural effective stress,otherwise error will inevitably occur. Normal-stress analysis overestimates the strength of rock, and Terzaghi effective stress underestimates the strength of rock. Only the structural effective stress can provide the correct answer.
