Differential Space-Time Block Code for Correlated MIMO Channels

摘要: 针对相关衰落MIMO信道,提出了一种设计差分空时块码的方法,设计准则是使差分检测的平均成对错误概率的上界达到最小。最优的设计需要发射端和接收端的衰落相关性信息,且需要采用数值方法求解。通过忽略接收天线间的相关性可以减小反馈量,并且能得到有闭合表达式的次优设计。仿真结果表明,所提方案改善了系统的误码率性能,而次优设计获得的误码率性能接近最优设计。

Abstract: A scheme of designing differential space-time code is proposed for correlated fading MIMO channels. The design criterion is to minimize the upper bound on the average pairwise error probability of differential detection. The optimal design requires knowledge of correlation both in the transmitter and the receiver, which must be obtained numerically. By ignoring receiver correlation, the amount of feedback can be reduced and a closed-form suboptimal solution can be obtained. Simulation results show that the proposed design improves the error performance, and the suboptimal design performs close to the optimal design.
