A Rate Adaptation Mechanism Based on Channel State in Ad Hoc Network

摘要: 针对多跳Ad Hoc网络,给出了一种兼顾分组碰撞和信道误码的饱和吞吐量解析式。基于此提出了一种速率自适应机制。该方案支持多个速率,能够根据信道状态,以最大化饱和吞吐量为目标,选择最优的数据分组长度和数据分组发送速率。仿真结果表明,该方案在饱和吞吐量和抗信道衰弱方面性能优于OAR和不同速率模式下的802.11 DCF。在信道衰弱较剧烈时,性能相比于802.11 DCF 1Mbps有260%的提高,与OAR相比提高10%。

Abstract: An analytic formula of saturation throughput is presented for multi-hop Ad Hoc networks, which takes packet collision and channel conditions into account. Based on the formula, a rate adaptation mechanism is proposed. The scheme can adjust the rate of sending packets exactly, and choose the optimal size of packets to best match channel conditions for maximizing saturation throughput. Simulation results show that the scheme outperforms OAR and 802.11 DCF with 10% and 260% improvement on the saturation throughput and channel-resiliency capability.
