关于微波混频器的一些理论极限值

摘要: 本文采用散射矩阵分析了理想电阻性混频器在四种特定工作条件下变频损耗和噪声系数的理论极限值.特定的工作条件是:镜频、和频以及其余各谐波均为电阻性终端、均为电抗性终端、部分电阻性终端和部分电抗性终端等.目的在于阐明混频器中能量回收的一些基本概念.其结果汇集于表1.从中可获得若干有价值的结论,例如镜频回收将比和频回收得益较多;在镜频匹配条件下单道噪声系数有可能低于3dB以及当所有端口均匹配时极限噪声系数为3.92dB等.这些概念在混频器的设计与实验中可作为参考.

Abstract: This paper derives by means of scattering matrix the theoretical limits of convertion loss and noise figure of idealized microwave resistive mixer with its image frequency, sum frequency and the other harmonics under different terminating load conditions (that is, all of chem are resistively termined, reaotioely terminated, or some of them are resistively terminated, reaotively terminated and other combinations). Attempts have heen made to illustrate some basic pyhsical concepts involved under partial and total energy recovery and non-recovery working conditions.The results are summarized in table 1. It is found that under image matched conditions it is possible to have a single-sideband noise figure of less than 3dB, and that the ultimate noise figure is 3.92 dB with all ports matched.
