Abstract: This article introduces some typical encoding schemes for distributed compressive video sampling (DCVS) and compares with the channel coding based distributed video coding (DVC). The theoretical basis of DCVS encoding is described, and the existing frameworks of DCVS analyzed. Different coding tools are compared. The key techniques including sparse description of video sequences, reconstruction algorithm, and rate control schemes are analyzed.
