Abstract: Soft magnetic alloys of Ni-Fe-Mo are electrodeposited from ammoniacal baths containing complexing agents of sodium citrate and sodium pyrophosphate. Mössbauer spectroscopy has been used to study the magnetic texture of the electrodeposited alloys. An experiment and a calculation method of determining the preferential orientation of Fe atom magnetic moment on condition that there is the lower internal magnetic field are given. It is found that sodium citrate has a significant effect on the orientation of the Fe atom moment. The influence of the magnetic texture in the electrodeposited alloys on the magnetic properties is also discussed.
