Abstract: In this paper, the newest research results on the blanking deformation mechanics of metal sheets are simply and systematically introduced. We measured a real blanking curve, found the blanking deformation mechnical process to be composed of 6 stages, and obtained a formula of function between a unit blanking pressure and sheet metal hardness. Their applications are reported.
