Abstract: In this paper, we present a new polarization coupler using high-birefringence-fiber. This kind of device previously reported was based on the application of mechanical force on a comb-like plate. We made this device by using the PZT material, so the coupling strength can be controlled by an electrical signal. The device is easy to use and very good waveform has been obtained.
