Abstract: Based on the wear law and reliability theory of the thrust bearing,the mathematical model of reliability life calculation on the wear of the thrust bearing is derived. An on-line measuring device of the speeding up wear for the thrust bearing is developed. The wear rate of the parts is measured.We find the measured value conforms to the theoretical calculation, thus proving the correctness of the model. Furthermore,it is believed that the model can provide scientific theory,method and experimental data for the reliability life calculation on the wear of the thrust sliding bearing.
