Abstract: Modeling of ship radiation noise is an important issue of ship target classification. In this paper, the characteristics of ship radiation noise is analyzed, and a novel simple non -stationary ARMA model is proposed for modeling of ship radiation noise. The experiments of modeling of three classes of ship radiation noise recorded on the sea show that the proposed nonstationary ARMA model is correct as well as simple.
