Several Theoretical Problems in the Measurements of Ultrafast Electromagnetic Radiation Pulses with Electro-optic Sampling Detection

Abstract: This paper discusses the relationship between ultrafast electromagnetic radiation pulses E0 (t)(THz radiation field) and the value of electro-optic sampling Em (t).The influence of group-velocity-mismatching on the THz radiation field and fs optical probe pulses and the effects of self dispersive propagation in radiation field are also analysed.
