Filling Simulation of Gas-assisted Injection Molding

Abstract: The characteristics of gas-assisted injection molding have been investigated, and the mathematical model of the filling simulation is thus established. Aiming at solving the gas penetration interface, which is the key problem in the implementation of the simulation, a detailed calculation model is presented. The simulation results based on this model seem to agree well with the experimental results.
