Abstract: In this paper, an allocation strategy for on-chip memory is proposed to optimize energy of memory system. With data, global variable, instruction and branch instruction, the strategy uses ECFG to get the effect of energy and capacity caused by the object relationship.By using refined knapsack arithmetic with ILP, experiment results are obtained showing that, for most applications, general energy consumption of a memory system decreases by up to 50%. Especially, when an application's capacity approaches the content of SPM content, this figure is higher than 95%.
