Abstract: A novel blind equalization algorithm with rapid convergence rate is proposed to receive the burst-mode signal. The idea of affine projection and data-reusing in adaptive filtering field is applied to the modified constant modulus algorithm (MCMA). Compared with the basic MCMA, the proposed method converges faster due to affine projection and data-reusing. Derivation of the algorithm is given and its performance analyzed. In the numerical simulation, the proposed algorithm is compared with the basic MCMA in terms of convergence rate and stationary error.
