Abstract: Requirements for processing data stream in distributed networks and characteristics of the overlay network are discussed.Based on the Chord model, a two-tier overlay network model is proposed to support distributed data stream processing.An algorithm is presented, which is used to establish the two-tier overlay network.Applications of the model show the validity of the model.
