Abstract: This paper presents a method to determine diameter of mixing chamber in the ejector of a vapor compression/ejection hybrid refrigeration system (VCEHRS), and discusses its performances that vary with the working condition. The results show that an optimum diameter exists, corresponding to the maximum COP of VCEHRS.The performance deviates from the designing target when the working condition varies. The variation of refrigeration capacity of VCEHRS is smaller than that of traditional refrigeration systems.
