Abstract: This paper presents a new structure of interleaver that saves 50% memories relative to conventional ones. By swapping the odd and even positions, the interleaver has the property of symmetry, and the constraints on the mapping didn't deteriorate the performance of the interleaver. This is important in hardware implementation.
