Abstract: With the electric field integral equations as the basis, a moment method formula is derived for calculating the RCS of arbitrarily partially coated conducting objects by using triangle-roof-top function as the basic function. Some special numerical treatments have been proposed for improving the calculation accuracy. The asymptotic waveform evaluation(AWE) technique combined with the method of moments, is applied to evaluate the RCS of arbitrarily partially coated conducting objects in a wide band. The numerical results show that the special treatments proposed here can improve the accuracy and the AWE can increase the computational efficiency.
