GEOMETRIC MODEIS FOR COLD ROLL FORMING OF CONICAL ROLLERS WITH THEIR AXES FIXED IN DIFFERENT PLANES

Abstract: From the fundamental conditions of deformation and kinematics, the geometric models for cold roll forming of conioal rollers,with the axes fixed indifferent planes,are establised.The functional relations between the leading parameters controlling the workpieee deformation and the results obtained by the proeess are found and verified through experiments.The ideal condition of the roll forming is prosented to provide the scientific basis for the prediction and the optimlzation of the process parameters.Important results as a guide to the practice and development of the process are also obtained.
