摘要： 本文提出了一个根据输出光偏振椭圆度随光纤扭曲率的变化曲线上中心第一个峰点及其一个相邻谷点位置来求取光纤双折射的公式,讨论了具有非均匀双折射的光纤所对应的曲线的畸变.测试中采用一种新的消光法,使测量过程简单可靠.

Abstract: A birefringence formula of single-mode optical fiber in terms of the positions of the highest peak and its adjacent valley on the curve of the measured polarization ellipticity via the fiber twist is proposed and the distortion of the measured curves for the fibers with nonuniform birefringence is discussed. The new measuring process which is based on null measurement is simple and reliable.
