摘要: 用XPS研究了纯铜和纯铁在室温和300℃被空气氧化时的表面氧化产物及其在真空中加热时的热力学稳定性.结果表明它们的室温表面氧化物(Cu2O和Fe2O3以及二价铜比合物)在真空中300~350℃加热时可还原成金属,而高温(300℃)表面氧化物Cu2O和Fe2O3在同样的真空加热时则不能还原成金属,高温CuO只能还原成Cu2O.本文认为在"二维表面"内室温氧化物的热力学性质可以不同于本体氧化物.

Abstract: XPS has been used to study air-formed surface oxides on pure copper and iron at both room-temperature and 300℃ and to study the thermal stability of the surface oxides. The results show that the room-temperature surface oxide (Cu2O, Fe2O3 and cupric compounds) can be reduced into metal after being heated at 300~350℃ in high vacuum. The surface oxide (Cu2O and Fe2O3) formed at 300℃, however, can not be reduced into metal after being heated at the same conditions, though CuO can be reduced to Cu2O. It has been suggested that the room-temperature oxides in the two dimensional surface can differ from the bulk oxides with respect to thermodynamical properties.
