摘要: 基于EM算法推导了噪声方差的最大似然估计算法,并利用推导结果来修正LDPC的LOG域的置信传播译码算法,进行迭代译码联合噪声方差的估计。仿真结果表明,该文提出的噪声方差估计方法,较好地完成了噪声方差未知时LDPC迭代译码的辅助工作,使噪声方差未知时的系统误比特率性能恶化小于0.1dB。

Abstract: Effects of noise variance estimation on the LDPC decoding performance are investigated. Based on the algorithm of expectation-maximization (EM), a noise variance estimation method is obtained.The method is applied to the BP decoding algorithm . Simulations show that, with the proposed method, the observed performance degradation is less than 0.1dB when the noise variance is unknown.
