Abstract: Several silicon solar cells made by factories in China have been examined. Based on series resistance measurements and illuminating I-V curves, ‘A’ factor and reverse saturated current I₀ can be calculated. From analysis of these data it is seen that the main factor causing efficiency drop of solar cells is the leakage current.
