Abstract: The principle and characteristic feature of photoacoustic spectroscopy, which is tased on the photoaooustio effect, and its application in the investigation of catalysis are described.
The photoaooustio spectra of ZnO, Zn-Tl and Zn-Al we measured help gain an insight into the nature of benzene synthesis by catalytic dehydrogenation of prope-ne. It has been demonstrated that PAS is ver-y suitable for rapid explorating the surface property of various opaque solid catalysts and analyzing reactant gases and resultant gaseous products. Therefore, PAS is a new technique worthy of attention for catalysis study.
