Abstract: The effect of electrode materials on the V-I characteristics of evaporated film of copper phthalooyanine (PcCu) has been studied. The electrode materials used were Au, Ag, Cu, Al and SnO2, In2O3. If the top and bottom electrodes are made of the same metal-Au, Ag, Ou, the dark currents are symmetric with respect to the change of polarity of the applied voltage to the electrodes, and the V-I characteristics are typical of the SOLO type. The system Al/PoOu/Al showed blocking contact, presumably due to the oxide layer present on the evaporated Al electrode. In the case of Al as the top electrode and SnO2 or In2O3 layer on a glass substrate as the bottom electrode, SOLC was observed when Al was biased negative. However, when SnO2 was biased negative, electrode limited current behavior was observed. When In2O3 was biased negative, a negative resistance effect was observed.
