In this paper, analytical formulas of amplitude-phase characteristic for orthogonal-composition intermodulation linearizers installed on satellites are derived, and a linearizer is developed according to these formulas.
Performance testing of the device shows its ability of depressing mtermodulation products and verifies the theory to be in agreement with the experiment data.

By determining the horizontal distribution of 226Ra in sediments of Xiamen Sea Area, it is found that the most silts from Jiulong River move to the offshore area along the main current direction of Jiulong River through the outside Xiamen Harbour and only a very small part of the silts enter the west Xiamen Harbour (i. e. the principal channel) with the residual current. The greater part of the silts do not enter the east-section of the west harbour but stop in the west-section of the harbour. This has effects on the channel of the west-section, not on that of the east -section. The results are in agreement with those obtained in other ways.

The paper is devoted to the study of excess life in renewal process. It is proved in the paper that the excess life γ(t) and γ(t+s) at time t and t+s respectively are asymptotically independent. And it is also shown that the mixed moment m(t) γn(t+s) equals asymptotically to the product of the limits limt→∞ m(t) and limt→∞ n(s).

In this paper, we prove that the binary Goppa codes with L=GF(2m) and G(z)=z2+az+b are quasi-perfect unless m is even and S1=0,S3=a-1. When m is even, there is not any vector of weight <3 having syndrome S1=0 and S3=a-1 but there is at least a vector of weight 4 having syndrome S1=0 and S3=a-1. At the same time we give also a complete decoding of the binary Goppa codes with L=GF(2m) and G(z)=z2+az+b.

The paper is devoted to the discussion of the stability threshold speed of flexible rotor sys tems in fluid-film bearings. It is proved theoretically that the stability threshold speed of a general rotor system is always higher than the threshold speed of the corresponding equivalent single disk rotor. The conclusion offers us a simple approach to estimate the threshold speed of an actural rotor system and provide a theoretical foundation for the approach.

Auger line shape and energy shifts were used to analyze the surface and interface anodic oxides on InP. The composition and bonding of oxides grown in pH=2.6 and pH=6 3% tartaric acid-propylene glyool electrolytes were investigated. Plots of P (LMM) and In (M4,5N4,5) Auger line shape and energy shifts provide very useful information in distinguishing between In-0 and In-P or P-0 and P-In bondings. The outer layer of oxides consists of a mixture of In2O3 and P2O5 Both In -0 and P-O bondings penetrate into the same depth and there is no enrichment of element P on the interface, which is different from thermal oxide on InP. There is no sharp interface between anodic oxide and the InP substract. The method for determining the interface region and initial oxidic processes were discussed.

A new definition for LP modes is introduced. The orthogonality of the LP-modes in sense of power is discussed. Based on these, a set of coupled-LP-mode equations are derived. It is found that the coupling among the LP-modes consists of two parts:1. The residual coupling resulted from variation of dielectric across the cross-section and anisotropy of the reference fiber; 2. The intrinsic coupling due to the difference between the practical and the reference fibers. Then the coupled-LP-mode equations are transformed into the coupled-ideal-mode equations. With the transformations, it is easy to express the ideal modes (i. e. eigen modes of the reference fiber) in terms of LP modes or vice versa. Thus the errors arising from simply replacing the ideal modes by the corresponding LP modes are studied and the conditions in which the replacement is permissible are obtained.

Generally, the collimation correction must be made on almost all the measured data of small-angle X-ray scatterings. This requires to first employ either theoretical calculation or experimental determination in obtaining the weighting unctions of the instrument. Due to conceptional confusions, contradictions and fproblems are found to exist in methods of determination of the weighting functions suggested in the current literature. In accordance with the basic theory of collimation correction, the physical meaning of the weighting functions and the method of determination are expounded and discussed. As a practical example, a determination of the weighting functions of different small-angle scattering instruments has been made.

The effect of electrode materials on the V-I characteristics of evaporated film of copper phthalooyanine (PcCu) has been studied. The electrode materials used were Au, Ag, Cu, Al and SnO2, In2O3. If the top and bottom electrodes are made of the same metal-Au, Ag, Ou, the dark currents are symmetric with respect to the change of polarity of the applied voltage to the electrodes, and the V-I characteristics are typical of the SOLO type. The system Al/PoOu/Al showed blocking contact, presumably due to the oxide layer present on the evaporated Al electrode. In the case of Al as the top electrode and SnO2 or In2O3 layer on a glass substrate as the bottom electrode, SOLC was observed when Al was biased negative. However, when SnO2 was biased negative, electrode limited current behavior was observed. When In2O3 was biased negative, a negative resistance effect was observed.

In the practice of microwave diathermy, electrical penetration and thermal penetration must not be confused since they are two different concepts. The factors, such as aperture of applicators and polarization, which influence penetration but are often neglected, are indicated. According to the view of this article, the thermal penetration can be enhanced by definite method in the same condition. Experiments showed that a depth of over 1 cm can be obtained in muscle at 2450 MHz.
