Abstract: The stability of single crystal n-CdTe in aqueous solution and the photopassivation behaviour have been investigated. The changes of the surface composition and shape are examined by means of the solid surface analyses. The stability of n-CdTe photoelectrochemical cell is apparently improved by selecting the suitable redox couple or modifying the photoelectrode surface.
