THE SYNTHESIS AND ADSORPTION PROPERTIES OF MACRO-POROUS CHELATE RESIN PHNVA

Abstract: We have synthesized a new macro-porous Schiff-base chelate resin, which has never been reported in literature before. The name of the resin should be poly-N-(2-Hydroxy-Naphthmethylene) Vinyl Aniline. In this paper, it is simply written as PHNVA. The systhesis structure and chelating properties of PHNVA are studied. It is shown that trace copper ion (Cu2+)in the nickel electroplating solution and trace copper (Cu2+) in the effluent of acidic copper electroplating solution can be removed and (or) recovered with the resin.
