Abstract: A set-up for measuring the Compton profile has been established. The Compton profiles of H2O (international standard sample for comparison), Al (three different thicknesses), LiF and Cu have been measured, using 59.54 KeV γ-rays from a 210 mCi 241Am source at 165° fixed scattering angle.Analyses and discussions are given.Our results for water are in agreement with published measurements of some foreign groups within an allowance of ±1%. It is suggested that the method and results are reliable.
