Abstract: We have developed a new optical fiber temperature sensor for biomedical application, especially for temperature measurement in cancer treatment by microwave radiation. The experiments and clinical practice have shown that the optical fiber temperature measurement system is almost unaffected by the microwave radiation field. It can measure the temperature of the tissue which is heated by microwave radiation and it has come up to the requirements of clinical practice.
