To solve the energy problems in M2M communications, we study the strategy of energy-balanced joint sleep-clustering management. To correct imbalance of energy consumption in the LEACH clustering algorithm, we propose a non-uniform partitioning algorithm by using the latitude and longitude lines for the cluster head node region to ensure equal energy consumption of all cluster heads. We find the optimal number of clustering, propose a sleep scheduling strategy based on distortion to further reduce energy consumption, and design a joint clustering-sleep management strategy. Simulation results
show that the proposed strategy can balance energy consumption and extend the network lifetime in M2M communications.

This paper proposes a method to use smart antenna to small cell architecture.
Small cells equipped with smart antennas can offload traffic for nearby busy small cells
and balance system traffic load adaptively. These small cells also take advantage of space
division multiplexing (SDM). The proposed architecture can help improve user access rate
and system throughput, and reduce the number of small cells. Simulation results show
that, compared with existing schemes, the proposed adaptive algorithm can reduce the
number of small cells by approximately 30% while maintaining the required user access
rate and system throughput, thus reducing deployment costs and energy consumption.

vehicle-to-vehicle mobile communication system using maximal ratio combining (MRC)
under n-Rayleigh fading channels is investigated. With the characteristic function (CHF)
method, exact and approximate ASEP expressions are derived for shift keying modulation
(PSK), quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), and pulse amplitude modulation
(PAM). Closed form approximate OP expressions are presented. Simulation results shows
validity of the theoretical analysis, and improvement of the system performance with increased
diversity branches and decreased fading factor.

Due to limitations in image resolution and viewing angles of the lens, ordinary image acquisition devices cannot capture images of super-large scenes. Image mosaicking techniques are used to produce panoramic images in such circumstances by registering and stitching a number of images with a limited perspective angle. We design an image mosaic system for this purpose. The first module is based on a phase correlation algorithm to realize real-time mosaicking of images with only translational relationship. The second module deals with images having both of rotational and translational relationships, which is based on Harris corner match. Experimental results show that the system can effectively achieve seamless image mosaicking.

Due to multipath characteristics and the special structure, electromagnetic
wave propagation in subway tunnel greatly differs from other confined space. In this paper,
statistical characteristics such as root mean square (RMS) delay spread and Doppler spread
and Doppler shift of multipath channel in a typical subway tunnel are analyzed using the
ray-tracing method and the radio statistics theory. Simulation results show that Doppler
spread and shift increase with higher frequency and velocity. However, RMS delay spread
is smaller with higher frequency. Simulation results provide a reference for 4G and 5G
    applications in subway.

This paper presents a measurement solution that recovers 3D information of
objects from a panoramic image. In case of having GPS position only, the panoramic
posture at the shooting time can be calculated by image match and bundle adjustment.
Thus we can use intersection to obtain the objects’ coordinates. As large distortion in
panoramic is an obstacle in image match, an affine invariant feature matching algorithm
is used for image match, and a random sample consensus algorithm used to eliminate
coarse errors, giving better point match in terms of both quantity and quality. For the unique geometric feature of panoramic image, the conventional photogrammetric bundle
adjustment is improved and used to solve posture of panorama. Finally, an intersection
method is proposed to build normal equations through transformation of space straight
line equations before adjustment. Compared with the conventional method, the proposed
algorithm has higher accuracy. Experimental results show feasibility of the scheme. It can
accurately measures object coordinates in panoramic images.

To meet individual needs of home design, a collaborative filtering recommendation
algorithm based on interaction history is presented in this paper. The algorithm has
been introduced into a mobile interactive 3D home design system. In the algorithm, user
historical interaction behavior is analyzed, and a new user interest model built. The model
converts user interaction behavior into a user interest matrix. To improve the recommendation
quality, two furniture item characteristics, i.e., timeliness and resource relevance,
are introduced into the generation process of the collaborative filtering recommendation
algorithm. The recommended items are applied to 3D virtual home design scene. The
home personalized design is completed by scene editing and virtual display. Experimental
results show that the proposed method is feasible. It can effectively improve recommendation
quality with better user experience and visual effects.

This paper provides recommendation to decision makers for the regional policy
of differentiated agricultural workforce by analyzing the level of local workforce redundancy.
A data envelopment analysis (DEA) model is used to study efficiency of arable land
usage, the situation of labor redundancy, and the influence of labor redundancy on the
arable land usage efficiency in Hubei Province between 1987 and 2012. Spatial-temporal
distribution of the above factors are investigated. The results indicate that, from 1987
to 2007, the laborforce has little impact on the arable land usage. Labor redundancy of
different degrees existed in 80% of counties, among which the west and southeast regions
were the highest. The situation was improved in the Jianghan Plain and northeast Hubei
with sustainable transfer of the agricultural workforce from 2007 to 2012. It is therefore
concluded that targeted policy should be taken either to accelerate laborforce transfer or
to secure the agricultural workforce according to the local degree of redundancy.

Design of S-boxes is an important part in the block ciphers design. In this paper,
the S-box construction method based on spatiotemporal chaotic system is proposed.
Cross coupled map lattices based on the Chebyshev map with random parameters dither are
used to produce a large number of 8×8 S-boxes. Evaluation tests are carried out, including
nonlinearity, equiprobable input/output XOR distribution, strict avalanche criterion, output
bit independence criterion and bijective property. The prior S-box is picked up in the
test. Further comparison results indicate that the prior S-box has better cryptographical
properties than existing chaos-based methods. It can be used as a core component in the
design of new block cipher systems.

For a system with inverse response to time delay, we propose a two-degreeof-
freedom (2-DOF) control method by combining the Smith predict or control with the
internal model control (IMC). The structure of Smith predict or control is used to obtain a
set-point tracking controller for good set-point tracking performance. In addition, a disturbance
rejection controller uses the method of internal model control to improve disturbance
rejection performance and robustness, overcoming the drawback of the traditional Smith
predictor. The transfer function of the process model is decomposed in to a minimum
phase part and a non-minimum phase part using direct decomposition and full decomposition
methods. Thus, two different methods for controller design are derived. Necessary and
sufficient conditions for the system robust stability are discussed. Theoretical analysis and
simulation results show that the proposed method has good set-point tracking response,
    disturbance rejection response and robustness.
