Abstract: The LiNbOs optical waveguide switch array is an important component in broadband optical communication networks. We have designed and fabricated a 4×4 optical waveguide switch array-5 interconnected directional couplers with alternating △β electrooptical modulation. The parameters of the device are:a-lOdb fiber-device-fiber-insertion loss, a-20 db crosstalk, a 15V-drive voltage, a <1.4 ns response time and a l.3μm operating wavelength.
